Trial Report: Canfish CamX Camera Underwater Footage at Sandheads
We recently conducted a trial using the Canfish CamX underwater camera at Sandheads, capturing some truly immersive and fascinating footage. Lowering the camera down with the "Hook of Dreams" lure, we observed an active and engaging bite session involving several species of Pacific salmon.
The footage revealed coho, chinook, and pink salmon all showing interest in the lure, providing a dynamic glimpse into their natural behavior underwater. The chase and chomping sequences were especially exciting, highlighting the aggressive and curious nature of these iconic fish.
This initial trial has only increased my enthusiasm to further explore which types of lures are most effective and to better understand the nuanced behaviors of Pacific salmon during feeding.
